Plans are what you sell. In many networks they are copied router by router, so a price or speed change means hours of work and mistakes. In Purple Router a plan is created once and used on every router.
What lives in the plan
- Price and period, for example KES 2,000 for 30 days.
- Speed, such as 20/20 Mbps.
- Burst, such as up to 40 Mbps for 30 seconds.
- Roaming: one router, same station or everywhere.
- Devices per PPPoE: how many devices can log in with one account.
Burst: double speed when it counts
With burst, pages open and downloads start at the higher speed, then settle back to the plan speed. Customers feel a faster connection at the same plan price. You set the burst speed, threshold and burst time.
Device limits
Set one device or many per PPPoE account, on the plan or per customer. Extra logins are refused, which stops one account being shared across homes.
