Connecting a router to a billing system used to mean long configuration guides, port forwarding and a technician’s day. With Purple Router it is one script.
Step 1: copy the script
In the dashboard, add a router. Purple Router writes a WireGuard script made for that router: a few commands that create a secure tunnel to your Purple Router address.
Step 2: paste it into your MikroTik
Open the MikroTik terminal (RouterOS 7) and paste. Nothing else to install. The router links to Purple Router through the tunnel, and you see it online in your dashboard.
Step 3: lock it down
Turn on the recommended Lock mode and WinBox, SSH, API and WebFig only work through the Purple Router tunnel, for your team only. Your router’s management is no longer exposed to the public internet.
What happens after linking
- PPPoE logins are checked by Purple Router RADIUS, so no secrets are stored on the router.
- Router configuration is backed up automatically.
- You can see traffic, CPU, memory, storage and customers online for every router.
Already on another billing system?
Add your customers with their PPPoE details and expiry dates, run the script, and everyone moves over with no downtime. Customers change nothing.
