Static and public IPs for PPPoE customers, without touching their router

Give PPPoE customers a private or public static IP, change or revoke it from the dashboard, and manage every IP block so you never run out by surprise.

Most home customers are happy with a dynamic IP. Businesses often need a fixed or public IP for CCTV, remote access or servers. Managing those by hand on each router is slow and error-prone.

Dynamic PPPoE: IPs assign themselves

Purple Router creates and manages the IP pools for you, with no manual pool configuration on the router. Customers get an address from the pool as they connect.

Static PPPoE: change an IP, they change nothing

Give a customer a private or public static IP, then change or revoke it from the dashboard. The change is applied through RADIUS, so the customer never touches their router.

Every IP block in one place

Add your public and private blocks for static PPPoE, see how full each one is, and get warned before a block runs out.

Tips for public IPs

  • Offer public IPs on business plans, as IPv4 addresses are limited.
  • Reclaim public IPs when customers leave.
  • Keep a record of which customer holds which address.
